Singapore Wedding PhotographyWe can have Wedding Photography separated into a few category, Pre-Wedding Photography or known as Engagement Session, Actual Day Wedding Photography and ROM Solemnization. There are a lot of forums that will be helpful if you want to have more information about wedding planning, what are the do’s and don’ts. Here are some of the popular forums to go to. www.singaporebrides.com, www.theweddingvowsg.com, www.kiasubride.com, www.bridestory.com.sg, www.theweddingscoop.com, www.perfectweddings.sg, www.weddingforum.sg. My personal suggestion when comes to planning will be as follow: Firstly set the date and find a suitable hotel for wedding banquet, preferably a pillar less ballroom so that your guests can enjoy the full view of what is happening on stage. Why I prefer hotels to restaurants is because normally hotels will have better decorations and nicer ambient lightings. Also to mention the rooms of most hotels look nicer and have great light streaming into the room which will better for photography. Secondly, book a photographer that is capable in capturing moments and understand light well. Actual Day Wedding Photography is all about capturing moments and moving subjects into good lights. That is what I have been executing during Actual Day Weddings. Do ask if you will get a package pricing if you hire the videographer together with the photographer. It is important to book the Photographer in advance to avoid disappointment. Once the photographer is being booked, there is no way to find another photographer which have the same style. My clients normally booked me about 6-12 months before their weddings and some even more than a year before if they know their wedding falls on a HOT Date. After you have settled the banquet and Photographer part, next will be pre-wedding photography or known as engagement session photography. This will be more relaxing as the date for the shoot are more flexible. A lot of couple will go the normal way, which is find a bridal shop and sign the package with them to complete the shoot. In my way, I recommend you to find a suitable photographer first! Most of the bridal shop have nice gown and suit but the in house photographers can’t really bring out the feel of the pictures. They will let you see pictures taken by top photographers in their wedding gown but when come to you turn the pictures will be totally different as the use a different photographer for your shoot! So, find a suitable pre wedding photographer and then find you suitable wedding gowns! There are a lot of standalone Bridal Gowns like www.theproposal.com.sg, www.herbridal.com.sg, www.thegownwarehouse.com. The Gown Warehouse is just next block away from my studio! You can give me a call for coffee when you are nearby there! Thirdly, Betrothal Guo Da Li 过大礼.You can find all the relevant information at this website. http://www.thechineseweddingshop.com.sg/process.html do note that they have a number of shops in Singapore to purchase their items. Lastly is to prepare your table list and send out all the invitation cards, It will be good to send the cards out 3-4 months prior to your weddings and give them a reminder 1 week before the actual day! Hope this information help you in a certain way. Back to this picture, it was captured in the Royal Pavilion Ballroom The Regent Singapore and I would say the lighting condition of every wedding dinner ballroom is different. Sometime can be a good front light, at time will be a good back light and also sometimes with no tracking lights. In this ballroom, it is one of the most romantic ballroom I ever encountered! The lights are dim to provide ample feel. Tracking lights are accurate which a lot of other ballrooms don’t. No matter how tough is the lighting situation, be assured I can produce good march-in pictures for you. Loving this picture!
