Singapore Wedding Photographer

There are so many wedding photographers out there in Singapore and I am one of them, so why choose me? Ok, let take a look at this beautiful picture of the Page Boy and Flower Girl marching in before the Bride and Groom do their first march-in. Not all wedding banquet venue will have gorgeous lighting and it will be blessed to have those good lighting but usually that will not the case. You must know the differences between quantity light and quality light, doesn't mean more light equals to better light. That is the fundamental of photography! This wedding took place in the afternoon and the restaurant is located at Clark Quay. Over to the right side of the picture there are a few small windows where light will come through. During couple March-In, the staff of the banquet venue will dim the light and in most scenario will have a tracking back or front light which will help a bit but sometimes the tracking lights are not accurate and off the face of the couple and make the scene worst! Trust me, every banquet venue is different, photographers need to be anticipate, fast and use enhance lighting techniques to make pictures to the best! Take a look at my others March-In photos. They are all different and I used different methods to overcome the difficult lighting situation. Same to the other parts during the wedding day, light is the most important soul in a picture. Come back to this picture, let me do an explanation. There are no front or back tracking lights, there are only small windows by the right side and the dim light condition make my ISO increment to ISO6400 for a proper exposure which is nothing for my Nikon D750. So, I ask my assistant to use a Lowel GL-1 Power LED to give them a back light and the natural light steaming from the window created an almost perfect Rembrandt Lighting which is widely used by skilled cinematographer and director in Hollywood and even Hong Kong Movies. Look at 一代宗師 The Grandmaster a movie by Wong Kar Wai director starring Zhang Zi Yi & Tony Leung, you will understand and learn more about lighting through this movie. Imagine I don't understand light and just spray and pray for good pictures? This picture will be just a plain Jane. If you are looking for a good wedding photographer in Singapore that will be able to capture moments at the same time understand how to use light at his fingertip, talk to me more by contacting me using whatapps or through email. mike@mikechenphotography.com
