I love images like this, It is because we cannot replicate this scene again. If you have been to Paya Lebar Methodist Church Singapore before, you will notice a small circular opening on the ceiling of the church. During the entire ceremony, there are near to zero hard light coming into the church but at the moment they sang to worship god, a strong light came through the small opening and shine right on the couple and the priest. You can see from the image that only these 3 personnel are being illuminated by the light. It is so meaningful right?
Therefore I use a long lens so that I can stand far again without disturbing the ceremony and by using the long lens, I can easily isolate the subject and cut off any distraction in the scene.
